The Uncharted games are among the best games to come out on PS3 and despite the fact that the PS3 had its share of problems, bugs and all; that didn’t deter gamers from playing the Uncharted games and enjoying them. However, looking back, one can only wonder how so many actually made it through the PS3 generation playing the games with the glitches and systematic issues.
“Read many complaints I have” about the Uncharted games not playing in the PS3 systems whether they were the fat versions or the slims. Right now, I can bet my gamer status that there are still gamers having trouble with the Uncharted games on PS3 and it hurts to read about gamers having trouble with games that they spend their hard-earned money on.
I get it, I remember when the laser head on my PS1 broke as I was changing games from Lunar 2 to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night or when I was trying to get Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction to play in my first PS3 slim; it didn’t work at all no matter how many times I cleaned the disk when I thought it was the problem, it broke my heart so I definitely get it
In my post I will discuss the reason why you should get the PS4 Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection not to mention why the PS3 versions of the games are flawed, why its worth the money, and what you should also get to complete the collection as a whole.
Uncharted games on PS3
Every gamer knows how great it is to play the Uncharted games on the PS3 even me and I haven’t played them since I beat Uncharted 3 back during Summer of ’18. The Uncharted games on PS3 made the PS3 along with a few other titles but there’s no arguing the fact that if you were getting a PS3, you were getting all 3 Uncharted games.
However, the problem with the Uncharted games on the PS3 was many starting with the long loading times which sometimes was the determining factor of whether or not the game loaded up and you were able to pick up where you left off. Some gamers were blessed as it were to get past the loading screen but have the game freeze on them a few moments later.
For many gamers, it was their PS3s whether it was the first generation or the slims; it almost seemed as if the games were just not playable on the PS3 because of the problems it has and was causing which led me to the conclusion that….
Getting Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection on the PS4 is better
Now, if you’re anything like me and I know most of you gamers are, you’re going to strive to keep all three Uncharted games for the PS3 because there are no issues with the games and playing them on whatever PS3 you have. However, do you ever get to that point where you wonder, what if that day comes and my Uncharted games don’t play in my PS3; a scary thought indeed.
If that ever becomes the case then may I direct your attention to my next suggestion, get the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection on PS4 and it goes without saying but it is a better option than keeping the ones on PS3. At this present time, my wife is currently having trouble getting her Uncharted 3 copy to work on her PS3; she hasn’t played her PS3 in months.
This is the point to which I would do one of two things; the first, to help her get a PS4 with the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection downloaded to it.
Two, I would give her my copy of Uncharted 3 to see if it works then completely eliminate any possible future hardship that might surface regarding my copies of the game. Ultimately, getting the collection downloaded to PS4 is way better.
Uncharted 4 & Lost Legacy
As you may or may not know, being gamers you definitely know, that Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy are must have games for the PS4; it is worth noting that if you’re going to download the Nathan Drake Collection on PS4 then it is worth it to also download Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy.
The reason, you’ll have all 5 games on one system and the best part is that since the PS4 has yet to experience any of the issues that the PS3 had in its heyday, you’re not likely to experience any issues with freezing and long download times. Since I’ve had Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy, there has been no issues with freezing and I don’t recall ever having to wait longer than a second for the game to load.
Off the record, the PS4 is definitely a game system that is well ahead of its time and has illustrated time and again that it is DEFINITELY worth the price that you pay to have one. Long live the PS4!
Worth the money
At this point in the game, no pun intended, the PS4 Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection isn’t terribly expensive; it’s not expensive at all actually. I was just in my local Disk Replay a couple of days ago and I saw the game and it was a little under $20.00; you cannot even begin to imagine just how close I was to picking that up but since I don’t have any physical PS4 game copies then I would’ve downloaded it.
The PS4 Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection is worth the money just because you’re getting not just one game but all 3 in the collection and from what I can tell, remastered to perfection where there are no more issues with load screens or in game freezes or even the crappy camera angle (I’m talking about you Uncharted 2).
If you haven’t bought this game yet or you’re just trying to stay within the lines i.e. not buying the game because you still have the PS3 versions then you should definitely upgrade and you’ll actually be doing yourself a favor. Simply, game systems age and eventually die, but a game that you paid for that you downloaded is FOREVER!!!! Let me be very clear about that.
The PS4 Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection is a must have item on account of the fact that the original 3 games for the PS3 were so deeply flawed. Also, it didn’t help that the PS3s’ bug were not completed “erased” from the console before putting these games out en masse which ultimately caused a huge problem with the games.
It is because of this that the PS4 Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection is a MUCH better option because you don’t have to worry about any of the past problems and despite the fact that you’ll have to download Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy separately, it’s worth having all 5 games on one system.
Your journey starts here!
Ultimately, the collection is worth the money because it is a great collector’s item and come on, it’s one of the best video games ever made which I guess isn’t saying a lot because there has been a lot of great games out on PS4 but this collection really makes any PS4 console shine!
