The Fairy Tail video game is one that is of great expectation. Based on the television anime show about a group of heroes with their unique special abilities, I haven’t seen an RPG this awesome since Dragon Quest XI and Fairy Tail looks like it is going to be bringing with it a few surprises and if not, I’ve seen enough of the game to tell you that it is definitely going to be worth the buy when it comes out in 2020.

The lead character Natsu who is an expert Dragon Slayer will be at the forefront of every mission which from what I’ve seen of his powers, he’s going to be awesome and so will playing with him. The moves are unique to each character and just like with Dragon Quest XI, you’ll be able to strike enemies on your travels to get the jump on the battle first.

The game will be based on the story but more on that later. There are several divisions, and the game will take place around those divisions where, if you never watched the anime, you’ll be treated to different parts within the anime. This game is going to be awesome which I’ll cover more of in this post.

Gameplay

The Fairy Tail video game along with its gameplay is awesome. I haven’t tried the demo yet but the gameplay is completely fluid and it seems like it is really easy to get into. The gameplay itself seems like it is fairly linear and not complicated in the least bit. Ultimately, I’d say from a professional perspective that the gameplay makes it worth the play through alone.

If I was going to grade this game on its gameplay mechanics, I’d say it is a 10/10; even moving the characters around and using their attacks is simple and really ropes you into the gameplay.

Moves

Now, as you may or may not know, each character come with their own set of moves and learn more the further they progress. This particular part of the game is, in my opinion, is very awesome because I’ve seen the amount of moves that these guys are going to be using and they are among the deadliest I’ve seen thus far. In a small way, I believe that going through your Magic Points in the Fairy Tail video game is worth it because the enemies are going to force your hand.

I’m a sucker for projectile attacks and I did see quite a few of them like Natsu’s Dragon Fist attack which looked very deadly, I’d hate to be on the receiving end of that. I also learned that there is going to be some combination attacks in the game which is awesome because as you well know, sometimes one attack doesn’t always get the job done. Much love to oGVexx for posting this video

Combination attacks are among the most useful in the game which can only make the game more enjoyable and provide you with an arsenal of super moves that you can use to annihilate your enemies which you are going to have plenty of time to get familiar with.

Similar to Dragon Quest XI

The Fairy Tail video game plays a little like Dragon Quest XI from what I’ve witnessed, you go into towns and inspect chests for items and materials to make weapons and other things. But the similarity that Fairy Tail and Dragon Quest XI has lie in the overworld map enemies. You can strike them to get an advantage in battle. This can and will be a major aspect of starting the battle first so as to get rid of your enemies as quickly as possible. Personally, I hope that aspect of the game will allow you to dizzy the monster in question so it stays in one place and allow for a preemptive attack like in Grandia III.

However, that is not really a requirement for a skilled gamer such as myself considering that being a skilled gamer should pretty much give you all of the advantage instead of using a handicap as it were. But, make no mistake, if you can stun an enemy for a few seconds then I’d say that you’d do well to take advantage of the free hit.

Fairy Tail the Video game is packed with powerful characters and moves that’ll keep you going for several hours at a time.

The Story

Ultimately the story regarding the Fairy Tail video game will consist of story arcs from the actual anime which is a good thing for many of you who are into it and know exactly what’s going on. Personally, I’ve never even heard of the anime until I heard about this game and it just piqued my interest especially since it turns out that the game is going to be RPG which is one of my favorite type of games.

Personally, when I first saw Fairy Tail, I was like “this game looks like its going to be awesome” and I’m never wrong when it comes to RPGs and how awesome they are. You know, regarding the story arcs and those actually be from the anime, it’s like a gamer can watch the anime while playing the actual game.

I didn’t used to think so much of anime made video games but then I think about Fullmetal Alchemist and it made me think back to when that was popular and the games that came out for it and it just made me nostalgic. Incidentally, the game being based on the anime is going to really make the game pop in my professional opinion.

Conclusion

The Fairy Tail video game is going to be a big hit with gamers who’re big on the anime and those who are just being turned onto it for the first time. The gameplay is comprehensive and simple not to mention the moves that each character will have complements them in every way. The game plays similar to Dragon Quest XI because of preemptive strikes on opponents in the overworld and the fact that the game is based on the story or story arcs is good enough to get gamers into the game.

So what do you think of my post, do you think I’m dead wrong or right on? Leave me a message and I’ll get back to you immediately. Thank you and Happy gaming.

This looks like a great game. I love these style of game. Is this a game where you get stuck easily? I have found that if I get stuck, after a while I just get sick of it no matter how much I enjoy the game. The graphics of the fairy tail video game really looks good, The previous anime video games I have played, I have felt the graphics haven’t been up to quality but this really looks good from the pictures provided.

Do you know where I would be able to purchase this game?

Well if you have a PS4 then you’ll be able to purchase it straight from the PSN but if you’re more of a physical copy type of gal then you’ll want go to anywhere that sells video games and buy it there.

I’m not fond of playing anime games but fond of games like DOTA, Special Forces, and League of Legends. In these games, we are required to open an account where there’s a need for a password to access. Then, there’s the opportunity to nurture the character you’ve chosen that every time you play the game, you go up in level and experience. Does Fair Tail work just like that? I mean, if you choose the character, you have the opportunity to nurture the character/hero into something really good.

Somewhat, but all of the characters are and will remain the same.

    Hi Rodney

Thank you for the heads-up about this game, as I am a bit impartial for a good role playing game. I like games that has all the  great fighting moves, as well as great special effects, great characters and takes a bit of thinking in order to complete. If the game has all these aspects then I will certainly enjoy them. You tend to find that most  of the successful games have been adapted from TV programs, and not necessarily from animation.

I hope it is not one of those games which goes on for ever, having a lot of levels. I like my games to reach a successful conclusion in a reasonable timeframe. I am excited about this game. The only question is when does it come out?

    Thanks

    Antonik
