Darksiders 3 has been out for a little while and although it has really gotten many a gamer engaged, it goes without saying that it is not without its flaws; the Darksiders 3 Walkthrough. The walkthrough is and has proven to be a bit complicated to comprehend; let me explain.
Most walkthroughs usually have a good spot in the game that usually points in a specific direction regarding your next “point of interest” for lack of better phrasing. But, the walkthrough has none of that; the Hollows are truly works of art. I say that because the attacks you pull off with them is pure artistry.
In every game, a lead is usually offered as a means of exchange for something else most times, but that is not the case all the time. You might find yourself drifting while trying to figure out what to do whereas the answer isn’t always so obvious.
In this post, I will cover some aspects of the Darksiders 3 Walkthrough, the downside of it along with the Hollows and how they’re more than just powerful blankets of elemental energy. Also, I’ll talk about some tips to keep in mind and perhaps provide a lead on where you should go next.
As I might’ve previously mentioned, most games have walkthroughs that, if you get stuck or don’t know where to go, will help you get out of said rough spot. However, none of that exist in Darksiders 3; none. In fact, on average, 76% of gamers who play this game don’t have any idea on where to go without consulting YouTube.
One-eighth of those gamers refusing to look at YouTube for the walkthrough are walking around now as we speak trying to figure out where to go next. I can speak on this because I was doing just that not even 12 hours ago; I kept walking around trying to figure where I’m going, there was nothing to guide me onward.
However, it is a known fact that walking around blind can yield some amazing discoveries but in this game, it is deadly; deadly to the touch. I want it to go on the record that the walkthrough isn’t as reliable as it is believed to be if there is even one at all, but even if there isn’t, you can always count on the….
The Hollows are your bread and butter in the game and although the Darksiders 3 Walkthrough is a complete and total letdown, you can rest assured knowing that the Hollows will always be your guiding light in the darkness. For example, you’ll notice a lot of spider web like barriers in certain locales.
The Flame Hollow will burn those barriers away and you can get on with your adventure, I have yet to get the Stasis or Force Hollow although I am very close to the latter; I can feel it. I want to go on record as saying that anytime you need a hint about where to go or even where to start looking for that path forward then look no further than your hollows.
Also, I want to make it known too that a lot of things in your environment can be destroyed or traversed using the power of your Hollow forms so it pays to keep a VERY CLOSE eye on your surrounding especially when there are high cliffs or a purplish wall or a waterfall; 10 times out of 10, you’ll need that respective Hollow’s power.
As much as it pains me to say this about the Darksiders 3 Walkthrough, your Hollows are your best chance at helping you figure out where to go next, but if you’re having trouble with that then I’d like to ask if you…..
Need a Lead?
Certain games will require you to pay close attention and make notes about everything going on around you because if you don’t and you miss something, it’s going to be a long and arduous road on the way back to the beginning to get that clue. However, I’ve been playing Darksiders 3 for a while now and I didn’t have a clue as to where to go before last night.
So, we all need a lead at some point. Here’s a lead on where you should go if you’re not sure where to go next. After you kill Sloth, the 3rd Sin; make your way to the Skyscraper area in the Haven locale. There you’ll come across another powerful enemy and your way forward.
Explore here, you’ll want to; the payoff is huge!
Personally, it doesn’t make any sense for the Darksiders 3 Walkthrough to leave you scratching your head on where your next destination is; I had nothing to go on and after walking around while getting killed for the last 2 hours, I came across unexplored territory in the Skyscraper locale in the Haven area. So, there you have, your lead.
And, uh, spoiler alert; the Bonelands is beyond the Skyscraper area so just a little something to look forward to as you’re adventuring and finding your way.
So, if you’re super into this game like I know most of you are then perhaps I can offer you some tips that’ll help you well on your way and help you stay alive and if we’re being honest here, keep your enemies from doing the same.
Tip #1, Master your Dodge move. You may get to a point where running around with weapons swinging hoping to kill your enemies is a recipe for disaster; mastering your dodge move will keep your enemies off balance and give you a chance to counterattack or do the Arcane Counter.
Tip #2, If you need a lead on where to go; revisit some previous areas because 9 times out of 10, you’ll discover your next destination.
Tip #3, Use your Hollow powers on your enemies; experiment with your Hollow powers vs. your enemies; some enemies will take extra damage or will become weak when dealing with a specific element. For example, in the Bonelands, enemies don’t seem to respond so well to your Storm Hollow powers.
Tip #4, Buy up all of Vulgrim’s ‘Specials’ as soon as possible because they will come in handy, I guarantee it!
Tip #5, Don’t hesitate to transform back into regular Fury and switch back to your Hollow powers, I was running around the Skyscraper area using regular Fury then went Storm Hollow Fury in the first half of the Bonelands then I went back to regular Fury for second half of the Bonelands
Tip #6, Abuse your Shards; don’t let them become decorations in your inventory, you’ll live to regret it if you do. Paintings are supposed to be stared at and admired not items that’re meant for battle.
Tip #7, Don’t undersell or underuse your weapon enhancements, they are there to help you stay alive; strengthen them as much as possible. Theirs will be a power without limits whatsoever.
Tip #8, When you’re using Attribute Points on strengthening Fury’s HP, Strength and Arcane; spend a good 10-20 Attribute Points on Fury’s Strength. Doing this will make her and her attacks a superpower then focus on her HP then Arcane.
Are you having problems with your gameplay or just want to enhance it, how about a 4k TV or at least a bigger flat screen; this way, you’ll be able to see everything in the environment in the game not to mention avoid being ambushed from behind.
Darksiders 3 Walkthrough is, in its purest form, a big letdown that leaves gamers running around aimlessly. However, the Hollows can be counted on to pave your way forward no matter what or where in the game you are and if you need a lead then starting back at beginning of an area can help you a great deal.
Keep in mind too that focus on enhancing Fury’s strength when you get Attribute points because it’ll help her stay alive; don’t hesitate to buy up all of Vulgrim’s ‘specials’. These could mean the difference between life and death.
