Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning is among one of the most powerful monsters in the entire realm of Yugioh, and it goes without saying that wielding this monster means that you have the key to ultimate power in your hands. This monster not only has Attack points to survive against any monster but it has two special abilities that make it a deadly monster to tangle with.
Incidentally, Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning is a monster so powerful that there were “variations” as it were, of it. I remember when I first wielded this monster, I was so excited because I felt like it couldn’t be beat and for the most part; it can’t. However, there are strict rules in place for handling a monster so powerful which is always have a way to bring it back from the brink of annihilation.
In my opinion, Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning has undergone some changes that are new to the Yugioh-verse such as being a ritual summon of sorts which I will talk about in my post along with counterparts the actual monster behind the sword and my reasons why there’s no substitute for the real thing. So without further ado, let’s get started with….
Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning
There’s a reason why Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning is the ultimate monster and that is because it screams out power, attack power at 3k and its special abilities make it more than a match for any monster and the great thing about it is that it can use either of its abilities once per turn. Sadly, it cannot attack the turn it uses its special abilities.
Now, this monster would be good to summon if you have an all Warrior deck since it’s a Warrior type; this monster would be good to summon if you’re looking to severely cripple your opponent. Destroying their ace monster using Black Luster Soldier’s special ability will keep your opponent on the fence not to mention destroy their strategy.
The summoning conditions for getting Black Luster Soldier on the field is easy and I’ve also found that if you have a deck of mostly light and dark monsters then you can summon it with ease. Actually, it is the only way it can be summoned. Ultimately, it is a monster that you never want to duel without because if you’re looking to take advantage of its 3000 attack points then utilizing its special ability to attack twice will help you do just that. Keep that in mind always.
Recently, as I was playing Yugioh Legacy of the Duelist, I discovered that Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning has two counterparts. Now, you’d think that the monsters counterparts are as strong and versatile as the main man himself, right; yeah except you’d be wrong. The counterparts are Black Luster Soldier Sacred Soldier and Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Evening Twilight.
I’ve had a chance to play with all 3 of these monsters and I want to say that there are two principle reasons why I use the original Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning. One, it’s easy to summon. With the Evening Twilight counterpart, it’s special ability is a little useless especially if your opponent has more than one of that banished card.
The second reason why is that I don’t have to worry about using Sacred Soldier variant to pull monsters out of the graveyard that I don’t need or want.
The original Black Luster Soldier’s special abilities is straightforward. Even though through experiment, I never thought that counterparts would fail as compared to the original. So my advice is, if you’re playing a yugioh game and you come across Black Luster Soldier’s variants; avoid them.
So having played with this badass monster, there are a few tips that I’d like to offer you when the time comes that you should play with this monster as well. Tip #1, always have a backup plan if he gets destroyed. If you’re going to use Call of the Haunted or Monster Reincarnation then do it but if you use Monster Reincarnation then make sure you have the monsters in your graveyard to summon it again.
Tip #2, always have Counter Traps or regular traps available to protect this guy if your opponent starts getting desperate which they will. One particular card I can think of is Interdimensional Matter Transporter. This will completely keep this guy safe and off the field of all spell or trap card disasters that are likely to be “served” to you by your opponent.
Tip #3 and this might seem a little far-fetched, but summon this guy after you know your opponent is out of strong monsters or you manage to destroy their ace monster. Reason being, there’ll be nothing in their deck that can stop you from inflicting damage and ultimately ending the duel.
Follow these tips when you play with this guy in Yugioh Legacy of the Duelist and you’ll run over your opponents like no other.
A short time ago, I was playing Yugioh Legacy of the Duelist and made another startling discovery; Black Luster Soldier has another ritual summon opposite the one from the original. The ritual summon monster is called Black Luster Soldier Super Soldier and I’ve had the pleasure of playing with this monster and I can tell you that it is good if you’re looking to shave your opponent’s life points in half or cut them down significantly.
Good, but not great!
However, it cannot be argued that it is sort of useless because when it gets destroyed you can summon a Gaia the Fierce Knight monster which, unless that Gaia monster has a special ability, it’s not worth summoning. Hence making the original Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning the only monster worth summoning.
Obviously summoning the Ritual Monster is something to strive for but your “tributes” or “sacrifices” are better used on other Ritual Monsters such as Shinato, King of Higher Plane and Demise, King of Armageddon. Incidentally, there’s no real benefit to summoning Black Luster Soldier Super Soldier unless you’re looking to gain a significant advantage over your opponent.
I’d save my tributes for this guy right here
Overall, summoning Black Luster Soldier Super Soldier isn’t a bad idea it’s just seem like sort of a waste seeing as how you can use it’s special ability only when its battling a monster.
Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning is a powerful monster without equal, its 3000 attack points and two special abilities make it the perfect warrior monster; the ultimate monster. Despite the fact that Black Luster Soldier has two counterparts, neither of their powers are a match for the original. And remember that having counter traps and traps that’ll make this monster disappear from your opponent will ensure that you keep it like Interdimensional Matter Transporter.
Ritual Summoning Black Luster Soldier Super Soldier is a great idea if you’re trying to shave down your opponent’s life points but not worth using the second special ability for. So what do you think of my post, do you think that Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning is the ultimate monster or the ultimate joke? Send me a message and I’ll get back to you immediately. Thank you and Happy gaming.
