My Arcania PS4 Review has forced me to look at a lot of things about the game that stood out to me, it cannot be argued that it is, without a doubt, a great game. If you’ve played a lot of Action RPGs then I’m sure you’re well aware of what awaits you and the kind of fun that you can have as well. For example, you don’t have to just stick with one weapon, you have the power to choose; the weapons are not half bad either.

The greatest motivation for me to write this, my Arcania PS4 Review, lied in being able to inform people what a great buy the game is. At first, I had my doubts that it was going to pass my “test” but as I got into it, I could not put the controller down. The way that you can play the game is just great overall and if I’m being completely honest, there’s no chance of you getting bored with the game which was a definite plus for me.

In this review, I’m going to discuss game length, rewards, along with grading on gameplay and the awesome weaponry then close out with a tip or two on the platforms that the game is available for. So without further ado, let’s get right into……….

Game length 10/10

The length of the game, I definitely give that the score that it got because it earned it; if you look at the title screen and you’ll see Arcania and you’ll see The Fall of Setarriff at the bottom of the screen. I didn’t pay any attention at the time and was convinced that the game was completely over after I beat Xesha but it wasn’t and I was so happy. Also, I want to take this time to warn you all in my Arcania PS4 review that there is a second part to the game.

Also, I want it to go on the record that the second half of the game is just a little bit more challenging but not by much. Anyway, the game length was awesome and both parts of the game are lengthy. So, it’ll never get to a point where you’ll start feeling like the game is cheating you due to its lack of length.

Overall, the game is just long enough to satisfy but short enough to not drag out like some RPGs. However, the fact that the game’s length keeps you coming back for more says that you’ll get your money’s worth of this game and then some. I know I did!

Rewards 10/10

The rewards, OMG, what can I say about the rewards in the game except that they are AWESOME!!! Many of them range from simple potions to shields to swords and even armor. I definitely gave this a 10/10 because many of the rewards you got were from people who were of a “higher calling” as it were like kings, noblemen even magicians and army generals. I have to say though that you’re sort of kept in the dark about what your reward is until after you complete the side quest.

Also, getting the “armor pick” means or signifies that you just completed a significant part of the game which is major and it pushed you right along in the story which was also good. Some of the rewards were in form of scrolls for magic spells which were easily replaced by your real magic powers so those were sort of not needed.

There was never a reward that I didn’t like and you also got experience points for completing many of the sidequests which help fast track you to the next level and if we’re being honest, it’s good to play a game where this type of reward exist because any adventurer can get bonus stuff but experience points on top of the bonus stuff, bonus! See what I did there lol.

Gameplay 9/10

The gameplay was extremely awesome and I didn’t quite understand why the game was a little glitch-y at times, I mean thankfully the game never froze and if it did then it was a once in a while thing. However, the gameplay in general was great and it really made you feel like you were a part of the action especially when you were slaying those annoying skeletal warriors.

I would have to say that the gameplay is right on par with that of your run-of-the-mill Super Nintendo Game, not to complicated but great to the point where you can immerse yourself into the action without feeling like you’ve been put in front of Super Mario Bros 2 – Easy.

The gameplay is quite enjoyable and while the action in the game can mount very quickly, the game never makes you feel like you’re not the one in control. I’d even go so far as to say that the gameplay is addictive; there were times when I wanted to stop but I couldn’t, the gameplay is that awesome. I wanted to definitely point this out in my Arcania PS4 review especially if the game appeals to someone or someone(s).

Weapons 9/10

The weapons in the game were good but I felt some of them really should have been a little more elaborately categorized, here’s what I mean. Many of the two handed weapons in the game, while you could use them without a shield, left you open for attack. Now, I didn’t have any problems using the one-handed swords which is definitely what I stuck with. However, many of the one-handed swords were great weapons.

The only thing I didn’t like about many of the one-handed weapons toward the end of the game is that many of them did not show up in the weapons screen; they were practically invisible which is something I’ve never come across in all of my years of playing Action RPGs.

To be honest, it was a little unsettling running around with a sword that I couldn’t see. Yeah, you used it on your enemies and you can see it plain as day, but not so much when you’re trying to find it on the menu screen.’

Overall, the weapons are powerful in their own way and some of them are elemental in nature and having used one or two of them, I can say I definitely approve using these weapons even holding onto them when the time comes for you to expose an enemy’s elemental weakness.

In my Arcania PS4 review, I graded the game on several factors and felt that the game length was adequate for the game, the rewards part of the game made many sidequest worth doing which is a rarity in the RPGs and Action RPGs in the present day. The gameplay was comprehensive and easy to understand even if that person has never gamed before a day in their lives and finally the weapons, which made the game a slam dunk, were unique and very satisfying to use.

If you’re interested in picking up this game then you’ll be happy to know that you can find it on Amazon, Ebay for PS4 and for the PC if you’re a PC gamer. So, how does my post grab you, does it make you want to buy the game or even check it out or do you have questions of your own; if you do then leave me a message and I’ll get back to you immediately. Thank you and Happy gaming.

Acania PS4 sounds awesome. I have been out of the game for a few years (did YOU see what I did there LOL), due to kids but now my kids are getting to the age that they are seeing friends and cousins playing. I have to take a greater interest again because they want their own. I don’t want to make the mistake and go out and buy something ‘uncool’ so I am finding out as much as I can about the games that are popular right now. Everything I have read about Arcania PS4 has been positive. The graphics look good, the realism may cause a bit of a scare for my youngest though. What age do you think is appropriate for these games? Can you recommend any others?

First, nice pun. Second, anything and everything that has to do with gaming is cool no matter what it is. Third, definitely take an interest because some of the games that are out now are kid-friendly but you can always refrain from buying them a game if its too violent. Fourth, Arcania, I wouldn’t advise any kid under the age of 16 to play (the parent in me) but I started playing violent video games which I was 9 I never acted on anything out of any of the games so its relatively safe to say that your kid, no matter how old, will be fine. I can’t think of any other games off the bat, but I’ll get back to you about that.

Hello; you have shown much knowledge about the game. I wished I was a game’s person  I know I would be thrilled reading your article.

I imagined my big sister reading this article and behaving as if she is in the game. I have no choice but to share it with her. I would not be surprised if she wants to share and play some games like this with you. She is a Game fanatic!!!
